Mr. Hayes is involved in the practice of all aspects of intellectual property law with a focus on the prosecution of United States and foreign patents in the electric, electro-mechanical, and mechanical arts. Mr. Hayes has extensive experience working with clients ranging from small startups to large corporations by:

• Advising clients on offensive and defensive IP strategies;
• Rendering opinions concerning the patentability of inventions and the infringement/validity of patents;
• Prosecuting foreign and domestic trademark applications;
• Preparing intellectual property-related licensing matters;
• Protecting client trademarks online; and
• Preparing internet-related policies.

Mr. Hayes volunteers as a website administrator for local not-for-profit organizations and is fluent in several programming languages.
