Mr. Holdsworth litigates a wide range of claims for a diverse client base. Mr. Holdsworth has successfully defended numerous product liability, commercial, construction, personal injury, and medical/nursing home malpractice cases. He has served as coordinating counsel for large scale product recalls in conjunction with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission on behalf of a multimillion dollar manufacturer. Mr. Holdsworth is also an accomplished appellate advocate, and has successfully argued cases in numerous Ohio and federal appellate courts. Mr. Holdsworth has resolved numerous business disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants at trial and through alternative dispute resolution.

The positive results Mr. Holdsworth has recently obtained for his clients include:

  • Jury defense verdict for multinational manufacturer in Ohio in construction contract business dispute;
  • Summary judgment in federal district court in Texas in a product liability action in which the property owner claimed more than $3,000,000 in property damage and lost business profits due to a warehouse fire;
  • Jury verdict in action to recover unpaid invoices from landscaping company;
  • Summary judgment for an employer in a wrongful discharge action in Ohio state court because the Establishment Clause barred the analysis of whether the failure to obtain a marriage annulment was a legitimate non-discriminatory reason for discharge;
  • Summary judgment in favor of a property owner in Ohio state court against a private security service that alleged a duty of indemnity in underlying personal injury action.

Mr. Holdsworth is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and DRI. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, ADR Department.
