• Employer defense of employment claims in state, federal and appellate courts, including discrimination claims, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, and workers’ compensation retaliation claims.
• Representation of employers in defense of administrative charges (EEOC/OCRC).
• Drafting and review of executive employment agreements and restrictive covenants; enforcement of non-compete agreements.
• Representation of employers in employment-based immigration visa applications.
• Compliance assistance with state and federal employment laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, OSHA, COBRA, Fair Labor Standards Act and Title VII.
• Representation of employers in workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation hearings and appeals.
• Advice and counseling on day-to-day employment issues, including discipline, discharge, ADA accommodations, FMLA requests, overtime issues, hiring and promotions.
• Develop and update employee handbooks and policy and procedure manuals.
• Train management employees on employee handbook and labor contract administration.
