Post Decree Modification
Just because an action for divorce, dissolution, or legal separation has ended does not mean that you will never have problems or disagreements in the future.
After a divorce or custody matter is final, circumstances may change warranting additional court involvement. The court always retains jurisdiction on matters relating to minor children; additionally, the court retains jurisdiction to enforce its previous orders (i.e., if a party is not receiving court ordered support payments or property settlement payments). Certain other terms of a divorce may also be modifiable.
