Representative Matters

• Obtained a jury defense verdict in federal district court in New York in favor of a manufacturer of a gas-powered trimmer.  The plaintiff sought damages exceeding $700,000 for injuries to her scalp, neck and back, when the trimmer allegedly malfunctioned.

• Obtained a jury defense verdict in an Ohio state court in favor of a commercial roofing company brought by a general contractor who sought damages for breach of contract, fraud and promissory estoppel.

• Obtained a jury defense verdict for an employer in an Ohio state court in a wrongful termination action brought a former officer of the company. 

• Obtained a jury defense verdict in a Kentucky state court in favor of a manufacturer of a lawn mower where plaintiff suffered multiple toe amputations when her mower allegedly malfunctioned.

• Obtained a jury defense verdict in a federal district court in Arizona on behalf of a manufacturer of a lawn mower where plaintiff suffered multiple amputations to his right foot and sought damages in excess of $1,200,000.

• Obtained summary judgment in an Indiana state court in favor of a manufacturer of log splitter where plaintiff suffered partial amputations to several fingers on his right hand.

• Obtained summary judgment in federal district court in New York in a premises liability action filed against a major retailer for injuries suffered by a customer.

• Obtained summary judgment on behalf of employer in an Ohio state court involving an intentional tort action filed by an employee who suffered mesothelioma from allegedly being exposed to asbestosis-containing materials in the workplace.
