  • Employer defense of discrimination and wrongful discharge claims including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act before state and federal and administrative agencies and courts, and compliance assistance with state and federal employment laws.
  • Compliance assistance concerning and represent employers in state and federal wage and hour laws including Fair Labor Standards Act and Family Medical Leave Act.
  • Compliance assistance concerning benefit issues including COBRA and defend employers in ERISA-based actions.
  • Representation of employers in workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation administrative hearings and court appeals.
  • Representation of employers in defending state and federal OSHA related citations and assist in training employers in safety issues.
  • Defense of management before NLRB in Unfair Labor Practice charges, and in arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements.
  • Representation of employers in employment-based immigration or temporary nonimmigrant petitions and applications.
  • Advice and counseling on day-to-day employment issues, including discipline, discharge, ADA accommodations, FMLA requests, overtime issues, hiring and promotions.
  • Advise and assist employers with discipline, terminations, reductions in force and legal issues relating thereto including WARN.
  • Develop and update employee handbooks and policy and procedure manuals including drug and alcohol testing policies.
  • Negotiation, drafting, and litigation of executive employment agreements, separation agreements, non-compete agreements, restrictive covenants, and trade secrets.
  • Conduct human resource audits, policy reviews, and training sessions for management and non-management employees on effectively managing employees, anti-harassment, FMLA, and ADA issues.
  • Speaker at continuing legal education and employer seminars regarding labor, employment and workers' compensation laws and legal issues.
