• Defending product manufacturers at trial in federal and state courts in business and product liability litigation.
• Defense of civil jury trials, including wrongful death, medical malpractice and nursing home negligence.

• Appellate practice experience includes briefing and oral argument in numerous Appellate Courts in Ohio, as well as briefing appeals in the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Representative Matters
 

• Obtained summary judgment in federal district court in Texas in a product liability action in which the property owner claimed more thatn $3,000,000 in property damage and lost business profits due to a warehouse fire.
• Obtained summary judgment for an employer in a wrongful discharge action in Ohio state court and successfully argued that the Establishment Clause barred the analysis of whether the failure to obtain a marriage annulment was a legitimate non-discriminatory reason for discharge.
• Obtained summary judgment in favor of property owner in Ohio state court against private security service that alleged a duty of indemnity in underlying personal injury action.
• Former tracking coordinator for transfer, storage and disposal facility (TSDF), responsible for tracking of hazardous materials and facility compliance with RCRA and Ohio Department of Transportation manifesting requirements.
