The Intellectual Property group of Wegman, Hessler and Vanderburg is responsible for the protection and enforcement of patents, trademarks and copyrights in the United States and foreign countries for clients of the firm. The group’s attorneys practice in a wide variety of intellectual property matters and work in close cooperation with other practice areas to assure that all client needs are properly addressed. The group relies upon interdisciplinary collaboration among attorneys with experience in patent and trademark law, commercial transactions, and litigation.

Our attorneys are experienced in all areas of patent and trademark law including opinions, prosecution, licensing, and litigation. Our patent attorneys are registered to practice in the United States Patent and Trademark Office and possess a variety of technical degrees and background experience to represent clients in the United States Patent and Trademark Office in a multiplicity of different technological areas.

Our firm has experienced patent and trademark litigators who team with our patent and trademark attorneys to prosecute or defend patent and trademark lawsuits throughout the country. Our litigation team is also experienced in enforcement and defense of trade secret and copyright causes.

Clients of the group develop, manufacture and market an extensive array of products and services, including industrial processes and equipment, electronic circuits and devices, RF test instruments and equipment, outdoor power equipment, e-commerce applications and various consumer products.
